Ashley Ellis
Born in Santa Monica California, Ashley Kristyn Ellis began her dance training at the age of five at the South Bay Ballet under the direction of Diane Lauridsen; other instruction included Alicia Head, Mario Nugara, Charles Maple, and Kimberly Olmos. During her training Ashley attended summer intensive programs at the San Francisco Ballet, School of American Ballet, and three years at the American Ballet Theatre, all on full scholarship. She was the recipient of the Coca Cola scholarship award in 2000 and 2001, and was the winner of the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Award in 1999. 

At the age of 18, Ashley joined the American Ballet´s studio company and ABT´s main company the following year. While in ABT´s studio company Ashley performed the lead role in George Balanchine´s Alegro Brilliante, Corsaire Pas De Deux, and created the principal role in Robert Hill´s Toccare. In ABT she danced featured roles in Jiri Kylian´s Petite Mort, La Bayadere, and Swan Lake

In 2007, she was invited to Spain to dance with Angel Corella´s touring group, Angel Corella and stars of American Ballet. The following year she joined the newly formed Corella Ballet as soloist. Ashley has performed many roles in the Corella Ballet including: Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Gamzatti, & 1st and 2nd act II variations in Natalia Makarova´s La Bayadere, Balanchine´s Tchaikovsky pas de deux, pas de deux girl in Jerome Robbins´ Fancy Free, Gulnar and 2nd odelisque in Le Corsaire, Aqua couple in Clark Tippet´s Bruch Violin Concerto, stomper in Twyla Tharp´s In the Upper Room, Stanton Welch´s Clear, 2nd principal couple in Angel Corella´s String Sextet, Ana Bolena in Christopher Wheldon´s VIII, George Birkadze´s Celaje, and Titania in A Midsummer Night´s Dream. In 2010, Ashley joined Sarasota Ballet as a First Soloist.
