Professional, Advanced & Intermediate Summer Intensive

July 30 - August 17, 2012

Designed for male and female dancers, ages 11 to 20, Southland Ballet's Summer Intensive is dedicated to excellence in training for the aspiring professional dancer. During this extensive program, students, divided into professional, advanced and intermediate levels, are offered the rare opportunity to benefit under the guidance and expertise of internationally known Ballet Masters.

Curriculum: ballet technique, pointe, variations, character, modern, jazz, pilates and pas de deux.

Scholarships available for advanced male dancers, age 15 and up.

2012 Tuition & Fees:
Tuition for three weeks: $1,600
Tuition for two weeks: $1,500

Housing is available for the Professional, Advanced & Intermediate levels for Week 2 and Week 3 of the Intensive for an additional cost of $1,400.  The housing fee includes chaperoning, 3 meals a day and transportation to and from the Academy.

Registration and Payment Schedule for Summer Intensive Programs
Students who audition in person will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance. Information packages will be mailed shortly after. First tuition installment (half of program cost) is due by March 9, 2012 and is non-refundable. Remainder of tuition is due by May 4, 2012.

Students who audition by video will be notified via e-mail of their acceptance. Information packages will be mailed shortly after. First tuition installment is due by April 14, 2012 with the remainder due by May 4, 2012.

Housing
Housing is available for the Professional, Advanced & Intermediate levels for an additional cost  per week.

Private Coaching
Private coaching can be arranged with Summer Intensive faculty, and studio space will be available for rental. Please contact southland@festivalballet.org prior to July 9, 2012 with requests.
Availability of guest faculty is not guaranteed.
