August 7 – 18, 2017 – Irvine


This two-week program is designed for the pre-pointe and beginning pointe ballet student, ages 9 to 12, looking for serious training. The program builds strength for pointe, and prepares the student for advanced movement.

Curriculum: ballet technique, pre-pointe/beginning pointework, variation, contemporary, jazz and pilates

International Guest Faculty may include:

Christopher Powney, Artistic Director, The Royal Ballet School, UK

Larissa Saveliev, Founder and Artistic Director of Youth America Grand Prix

Gennadi Saveliev, Former Soloist, American Ballet Theatre

Tadeusz Matacz, Director John Cranko School (Stuttgart Ballet)

Video Audition:

Audition videos are accepted. Click here for video audition requirements.  A registration form and $25 registration fee are required along with the video.  Deadline for video submission is end of March 2017.  Click here for the registration form.


2017 Tuition & Fees:

2 Weeks $1,100

Tuition Payment Schedule:

  • Installment Plan Price: $1,100 – Final payment due no later than May 1, 2017

Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. In cases of withdrawal for severe illness or injury that is documented by a physician, a partial refund may be given on a case by case basis.


No Housing is available


Activity Fee: $85 – includes a student ticket to Gala of the Stars Performance, SBA summer t-shirt & dvd of Inspired Young Dancer Performance

Final Day Performance: 

Inspired Young Dancer Performance held Friday, August 18, 2017 at Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall
