SOUTHLAND BALLET ACADEMY STUDENT RECITALS
Location to be determined
An important element in the development of a dancer is the opportunity to perform and present their growing technical as well as theatrical ability in front of audiences.
General Information about Recitals:
Many occasions to perform, both informal and fully produced, are offered to students of Southland Ballet Academy, the official school of Festival Ballet Theatre. In addition to opportunities to perform in company productions, Academy students are invited take part in studio showings throughout the year and the annual SBA Dance Recital, including:
Each June Southland Ballet Academy students perform in a recital to showcase their talents before their families and friends. The performance includes darling dances from our youngest dancers to advanced levels students executing demanding choreography.
The recital will be held in June at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, but students begin preparations in January! Activities will involve learning dances to perform, ordering costumes and encouraging family members to attend!
The recital is a fabulous event that will be long remembered!
Holiday In-studio Show
Each December, our hearts fill with joy, as our youngest dancers perform to holiday music for their families and friends. This informal setting is the perfect opportunity for Children’s Division levels Tot to Pre Ballet 2 students to demonstrate their skills with enthusiasm. The event is completed with light refreshments and opportunities for our little stars to greet their admiring audiences.
Our SBA dancers level Pre Ballet 3 and up are eligible to audition for Festival Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker, so they do not participate in the in-studio show.
