Fountain Valley, Calif., Sept. 7, 2016 – Festival Ballet Theatre (FBT), Orange County’s resident professional ballet company, will participate in the Festival of Children, a month-long celebration of childhood that showcases more than 80 children’s charities and presents more than 100 activities, workshops, and performances for children and families, all free of charge.
Young dancers from Southland Ballet Academy, who auditioned for children’s parts in FBT’s The Nutcracker, ages 9-15 will perform ballet and contemporary pieces at Carousel Court at South Coast Plaza on Saturday, September 10 at 1 p.m. and on Saturday, September 24 at 1 p.m. South Coast Plaza is located at 3333 Bristol Street, Costa Mesa.
Volunteers will staff an information booth for Festival Ballet Theatre & Southland Ballet Academy on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. during the Festival of Children at South Coast Plaza.
